Collusion is a fashion brand which was launched in 2018. The brand approaches a fashion audience who have the demand for something different, it is a brand for the coming age. The coming of age: the transition of a child becoming an adult. A brand which has been designed to be worn by anyone, regardless of their gender identity.
This mini smock dress is my first purchase from Collusion, as I guess nothing has sparked out at me before. Everything they sell is retailed at very affordable prices, as their target market is mainly teenagers, who fall within Generation Z. Yet as a millennial myself, I think some of us can agree, that this brand appeals to Generation Y (millennials) also.
Green is a favourite colour of mine and lilac is an on trend colour for Summer' 20, so it is a win win! The dress also has tinges of yellow throughout. I got a size 8 and the design is quite loose and roomy but fits perfect at the same time, with enough room to allow me to layer up underneath. The dress is designed with a 'drop armhole' which does visibly show your bra, if nothing is worn underneath - so make sure it's a pretty one!
I styled this smock dress with a pair of classic old school Vans and a pair of floral printed socks with sports stripes. The socks cohesively tie the colours together and complete the outfit.
Collusion has it's own website which adverts it's products, allowing users to see their products, size charts and prices. However, the website redirects you to ASOS if a purchase wishes to be made. This is due to Collusion being exclusive to ASOS. My favourite part about the website is the editorial page. There isn't much content available, but it contains information such as upcoming collusion trends and interviews which have took place.
The 'New Destination' Spring 2020 Lookbook was published March 9th 2020. It is a very a brief but lovely read. It flows wonderfully and is a very inspiring piece: " We'd like you to join us on this journey.
