Vivid but daring

For years I have always fancied a pair of Capri cropped blue skinny jeans, I have just never came across the perfect ones which catch my eye. While browsing on asos one night, which is something I do far too much of. I came across these culotte style jeans which I adored, thinking they wouldnt fit or suit me at all - as I am a complete and utter disaster when it comes to jean fittings. Only owning these for about 2 weeks and considering it was originally a skinny jean style I was after, they have already had their fair share in my day-to-day wardrobe.

Yet again we've recently been experiencing tropical heatwaves around 20 degrees heat and above. Truth be told I didn’t think it was going to last this long, I don’t think anyone did.
This particular afternoon was quite chilled, I went out for lunch and then finished the afternoon lounging at home soaking up some sun rays. Possibly the only default for dressing in this weather is flaunting more skin, which usually ends up disastrous with such milk bottle skin like myself - luckily I have been pretty lucky.

The location of this shoot was perfect, as my shirt was harmonizing with the surrounding background colours and making it pop even more, not as if I needed it too. But this most certainly picked out the colours in my shirt.

One of my cheapest footwear buys were these black sandals which go with pretty much everything and can be worn for everyday wear or I’ve even worn them for a night out. They have a wee peep toe and are made of faux leather with an adjustable buckle tie fasten.
An essential wear for a sunny day is always a pair of sunglasses - my usual go to pair are my cat eye pair.

This Jacque Vert shirt was a recent spy of mine in a local vintage clothing shop. The crazy colourful design is super unique with a mix of swirls and flowers which almost resemble tulips. This is 100% a piece which makes you stand out in a crowd, due to the vivid but daring colours. It isn't always my calling to stand out, but I felt the overall outfit with my black accessories and blue denim jeans mellowed the bright colours out.
This black leather belt was probably one of the first decent belts I’ve bought and also one of my oldest. It is such an effortless black belt that just pulls an outfit together. It was such a cheap purchase from primark but has lasted for ages and makes an outfit feel more complete.

When it comes to jewellery I tend to only wear rings, bracelets and earrings, but recently necklaces have became a huge part of my accessories. This is mainly due to my work who allows me to have a jewellery uniform allowance every month, so I’ve had jewellery flying in from all directions the last year.
